Day # 21 Calzada de Coto to Reliegos (26.3 k)
Today was tough. The sun was hot and we took the more difficult route. We stopped several times and got here finally at around 5pm. The sun took its toll on us today We were "whacked" by the time we arrived. The terrain was tough up to a place called Villamarco after which it got worse... just kidding. We were so tired it just felt worse.
We have met so many great people along the way. I've tried to remember them in my own peculiar way. Russel & Kathey from Texas are completing their Camino in three phases. Currently finishing phase 2 with phase 3 scheduled for 2 years hence. My tongue in cheek tribute to Russel & Kathey
There's Russell, who says, he'll be back
For Camino, phase three, he will pack.
You'll know him, by golly
'Cause when he sucks, a lolly
Kathey says, he's just like, Kojak
Great to meet you guys and I hope We see you again before Santiago
Russel's blog is

If we have met you along the way you might get a mention in a limerick... it could be corny but I'll give it my best. Don't be shy about reminding me of the details and make my job easier!
Was that longing as the train went by?.... Congrats on yet another tough stage! I thought this was supposed to be a stroll!?
ReplyDeleteMy very own limerick! Thanks Tom -- love it! Buen Camino to you both
