Day # 10 Logroño to Najera 31 k

Logroño to Najera (31 km)

The Spanish police are the best

As the photo below will attest

While holding my arm

They did me no harm

Then me they pretend to arrest

Today we said adios to Sean & Annette. It is unlikely we will see them again but we will miss the great company & the many laughs. They were fun people.

We were falling behind our schedule and needed to finish a stage today. 31K from Logroño to Najera. Quite a challenge but we did it. We started after an instant coffee intending to get breakfast on the way. It took a while to get out of Logrono and before we did we met 4 great cops who played along with our silliness.

The day was cool, perfect walking weather. No rain. We stopped in Navarette for B' fest & caught up with Kevin, the prison guard from Australia.

After breakfast we made our way through acres & Acres of vinyards recently planted to very mature

The tiny grapes were clearly visible & it looked like it might be a bumper crop,

Note to the Wednesday night lads ... the bull on the hill reminded me of a censored photo of Mr. Meehan.

I was thinking of QPharm as I walked and realize I would not be able to do this if I didn't have such a great group of people back at 180 Werlich . So thank you Farhad, Pete, Vas, Kelley, Charlene, & Dusan. for your continued support and enthusiasm for QPharm. ( Fahad... the papers are nearly ready!)

The rest of the trip was tough. We were getting tired . Seems to happen after 25K!!

We arrived at Najera at around 5:30 to a private double room with bathroom awesome Following a leisurely shower and a welcome beer it was off to bed.
